Closing out week 3 of SELF DEFENSE
Here we go everybody.
We’re wrapping up week #3 in the Self Defense class here at Ocala Karate & Fitness. www.ocalashinbukan.com. We’re happy to see that 4 more people joined the class this week and we all had a real good workout Tuesday night. Tomorrow nights class is going to have everyone leaving with a smile too. We are going to be working on some really fun drills that are not only really neat to practice, but will begin to develop our members timing and distance.
These are some of the most critical things any Self Defense class must get across to its members. We have to know how to move, which way to move, and what to do AFTER we move. And Ocala Karate and Fitness’s Self Defense Black Belt Program delivers exactly that.
Now I know that many of you might not think that you can do this stuff, but trust me when I say that its not hard to learn. All of these drills have been designed for exactly that! This is not a course for mixed martial arts or professional fighters. This program has been designed for everyday 8-5 professionals that are looking to better themselves in many different ways.

Anyone can do this!
This Program is also a really good program to get your sons or daughters involved in before they go off to college. At least they and you will be able to move away with the peace of mind that they have been professionally trained to defend themselves if need be. Now what more could you ask for out of a Self Defense program? www.ocalaselfdefense.com. How about getting in shape too.
That’s right ! Not only will this Program have you feeling confident about yourself, but it will have you looking your best too. That’s because all the drills we do in class are really HUGE calorie hogs. So that means not only are you learning how to defend yourself, but your also getting in shape at the same time. And if that’s not enough. All of our Self Defense members have access to ALL the Cardio Classes as well.
So don’t keep putting this off. Give yourself the ease of mind that you deserve. Come down to Ocala Karate & Fitness and let us help you get into the best form of your life.
This place is awesome! !

2010 Here We COME ! !
Well 2009 is officially over, and its freezing cold outside right now. Last night was no exception, as I think the Temperature got down to around 27 degrees last night. Now that’s cold! ! But, one place in town it wasn’t cold was here at Ocala Karate & Fitness. Last night marked the first class of 2010 and man did we go at it full speed ! !
All the classes were full last night as everyone poured in from their Christmas break, just itching to get back to business. And that’s exactly what we did. It didn’t take long at all to get every one’s heart rates up and respiration’s going. After a nice, long over due stretch, we jumped into our basic punches, kicks, strikes, blocks, and combinations with an intensity that made me smile.
Everyone was going full tilt last night. It was great to see everyone make it back to class and we have many, many New Faces on the floor starting the New Year of 2010 out. All of our newest members are quickly finding out just why Ocala Karate & Fitness, www.ocalakaratefitness.com, is Ocala’s Premier Martial Arts school. Having fun and building Memories at Ocala Karate & Fitness

Now this is FUN ! !
This is what it’s all about. Classes here at Ocala Karate & Fitness are not only exciting high energy classes, but so much fun at the same time. I think you could ask any of our members here just how great of a time they have, and how do they actually learn, and all would tell you with big smile. A LOT ! !
And honestly, the big smile speaks more than anything else. That’s why we’re growing, and growing, and growing. As more people are finding out about us here and what we are doing www.ocalakaratefitness.com , our student base continues to grow every month.
When we first started our youth class, ages 10-13, 2 months ago we only had 4 members in the class. As of last night we now have 10, and 3 more are joining classes the first of the year. Why I think we are doing so well here is because we are giving everyone exactly what they want. 1. REAL KARATE. Not after school day care, where the kids play games. We are teaching them REAL life building skills which include but are not limited to: Balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, confidence, stamina, focus, and the list can go on and on.
Wrapping up the 2009, Ocala Karate and Fitness will be closed from the 17th until Jan 3rd. We will be taking phone calls though and answering any questions anyone might have about 1 or all of the many programs that we have to offer here. So don’t hesitate to call us at 352-694-6304 or email us so we can get you started the first week of the New Year.
Also new in 2010, Ocala Karate & Fitness is showing once again why we are Ocala’s Premier Martial Arts School by kicking the year off with our Self DefenseProgram. This new program is a non traditional class that deals with only REAL Street Self Defense situations. It’s easy to learn curriculum makes it a great class for beginners off the street that REALLY want to learn how to protect themselves. www.ocalaselfdefense.com So check out the website and see for yourself why we are expecting this class to fill up very quickly, and be one of our most popular programs.
So do the research over the Christmas break and start the Year of 2010 off right at Ocala Karate & Fitness. We ARE Building a Better Tomorrow . . . Today.
Karate Junior (Children) Level Class
I just wanted to say what a great class tonight was at Ocala Karate & Fitness. Our Junior level class is a beginners level Karate Class that centers around the age group of 7-12 yrs of age. Currently the class is about 15 students large and I just really want to commend them all on how far they have ALL come since summer. Most of these little guys and gals started around June and July, and have come such a long way since day 1. I think all the parents will agree as to how far this class has come in only 3 months time. The balance and coordination skills that everyone in the class are starting to demonstrate to me every class now really brings a smile to my face. I had several parents that enrolled their children in our program for the same reasons. They either really needed help or work on their coordination, needed to get a little more exercise, or needed to build their self confidence and were just a little shy. Well after tonight I think everyone is starting to see really big results on the floor. These kids are bouncing around in sparring gear throwing kicks and punches, performing really complex drills, and following group exercises and routines to the tee. The way these little guys and girls have grown and evolved over the last few months is absolutely positively great. I couldn’t be prouder of my Junior class than I am right now. And the best part of all is that it will only continue to get better and better. This is because Okinawan Karate is designed to build these skills from the base up. This means that the longer they train, they continue to build upon what they have already learned making them more and more proficient at what they are doing. Not only that, it teaches them from this young early age that no matter how hard or difficult something is or seems to be, as long as they practice every day they will get better at it. Karate teaches us not to be easily discouraged and if we really put our minds to something and practice at it with 100%, there is nothing that we can not accomplish. I’ll see everyone next week in class.
